INSTRUCTORS
Jen Pankratz
Jen Pankratz is a ceramic artist living and practicing in Red Deer, Alberta. She earned a Visual Arts degree from Red Deer College then went on to finish her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Alberta College of Art and Design (now AUarts) with a major in ceramics. She has taught classes for the City of Red Deer, worked for the Red Deer Pottery Club, and has worked as a Visual Arts Technician at Red Deer Polytechnic. She is now using all or her previous experience as the owner and operator of Flux Studio. You can find her work on Instagram @pinchandpods
Dawn Candy
Dawn Candy is a visual artist living and working in Red Deer, Alberta. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge where she studied analytic philosophy and religious studies. She then went on to achieve her diploma in Visual Art from Red Deer College. Currently she teaches several community art classes in addition to making and selling her own pottery. Phyllis Obst
Phyllis Obst is a multidisciplinary artist living in Lacombe Alberta. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta. After retirement from engineering, she achieved a Certificate of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta Continuing Educations as well as a Diploma in Visual Arts from Red Deer Polytech. She has taught classes for Lacombe Art Guild, County of Lacombe Lifelong Learning (CLLLA), and has done some temporary technician work with the Red Deer Pottery Club.
Currently she has been focusing her work on abstract organic like sculptural designs in ceramics and found objects. Her work can be viewed at instagram
