INTRO TO SLIP CASTING WITH TRUDY GOLLEY
February 15th, 2026
This introductory class is designed for participants with intermediate ceramics skills who are interested in learning about slip casting techniques. This session provides a “taster” experience, allowing participants to sample casting liquid clay in plaster molds, assemble slip cast components, and be introduced to how to make plaster molds suitable for slip casting. Additionally, technical information about casting slip composition and considerations for successful casting will be covered throughout the day-long class.
If you’ve been interested in learning about slip casting techniques and want to explore its suitability for you, this experience would be a great place to start.
Trudy Golley has a long-standing career as an artist and educator. She has been invited to give workshops and lectures worldwide on techniques she has pioneered. Her work showcases the skillful use of slip casting in combination with hand-building and rich glazed surfaces.

CONSIDERATIONS OF MAKING CERAMIC JEWELLERY
April 18th & 19th, 2026
Ceramic artist, Trudy Golley and contemporary jeweller, Paul Leathers will lead a two-day demonstration workshop entitled Considerations for Making Ceramic Jewellery.
As a primer for the workshop, Trudy and Paul will present an artists’ talk surveying their collaborative work in ceramics and metal.
In this workshop Trudy will cover various surface treatments including underglaze transfers, stencils, and texture tools for creating wearable porcelain forms.
Paul will demonstrate a range of metalworking techniques including; developing 3D printed clay cutters, jigs and templates for creating ceramic forms, using jewellery-specific hand tools to make safe metal findings, as well as the use of proper adhesives for adding pinbacks and other embellishments
